So wonderful to have a leisurely wake-up and then a “French breakfast” that included pain du chocolat (chocolate croissants 🥐).
We then moved out into the lovely garden area for more conversation and relaxation.
After doing some laundry, we walked down to the lovely little town and had a late lunch.
We then went to the super marche to get our lunch items for the next several days as we will be staying in huts for the next two nights and won’t have access to groceries.
Just as we were leaving the store, it started to rain - luckily we were prepared with our rain jackets.
We can hardly complain as we’ve had such beautiful weather so far. However, since tomorrow is one of the most challenging hike days (very long with two cols/mountain passes), we are hoping that the rain will pass by tomorrow morning.
Now as we are resting/napping in our rooms listening to the heavy rain outside, we agree it was a “perfect day off!”
